dc.description | Mobile application development is one of the latest and most exciting areas of information technology. Diverse resource-constrained hardware environments, large number of software platforms, and quickly changing APIs are among the features that make mobile development challenging and rewarding.
Mobile Software Development is a course that blends theory and practice, ultimately allowing students to develop, design, and implements their own mobile “apps.” The course begins with the basics of mobile development and fundamental concepts. It then surveys the current state-of-the-art "smartphone" platforms including Apple iOS, Android, and Windows Phone, providing a deep understanding of the underlying concepts with many concrete examples and demonstrations.
The aim of the course is to give students the tools to design, develop, and publish their own mobile-related business idea to an online mobile application store.
The material developed for the course includes extensive power point presentations and detailed textbooks in word format. Both students and teachers can use this material throughout a standard 14-week semester. | en_EN |
